Hyderabad, April 21: A woman and her son committed suicide allegedly due to financial and health problems near a lake at Keesara today.
Locals who found the bodies near Peddamma Cheruvu near Keesaragutta this morning alerted police.
With the help of a pay slip found in the pocket of the shirt worn by the man, police identified him as Venugopal, aged around 35 years. His mother was identified as Lalitha Bai, aged over 70 years, and they were residents of Hanuman Nagar in Moulali. “Seeing the pay slip, we contacted the Coca Cola company and identified him. Gopal was irregular to duty due to health problems,” Keesara SI B Bhaskar said.
The duo consumed alcohol laced with poison.
