In separate cases, financial problems drove four persons to suicide.
In Vanasthalipuram police limits, 61-year-old G Prasad committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Kamalanagar on Friday morning. Prasad, a retired employee, incurred heavy losses in a business which he started a few months ago.
In a similar case, MBA student T Venkatesh, 29, ended his life by hanging to the ceiling on Friday. He resorted to the extreme step at his residence in Kompally. According to Pet Basheerabad police, Venkatesh’s family members have run into huge debts which drove him to suicide.
In another case, S Ramesh, 35, of Puranal, died of burn injuries which he suffered after setting himself ablaze on November 24. He was admitted to Osmania General Hospital where he died on Thursday night. He took the extreme step in inebriated condition due to financial problems, Hussaini Alam police said.
In a similar case, Md Khaja Miyan, succumbed to the burn injuries which he sustained on November 25 after setting himself ablaze. According to Medipally police, Khaja Miyan, a flower merchant, incurred heavy losses in his business and resorted to the extreme at his residence in Indira Nagar of Boduppal on November. He died at the Gandhi Hospital on Friday. (INN)
