SP MLA of Maharashtra, Mr. Abu Asim Azmi went to the houses of relatives of Alair victims and offered financial assistance. He arrived in Hyderabad yesterday morning and went to the house of Mohammed Zakir located in Jalpally straightaway. He met Mr. Zaker’s father, Mr. Mohammed Vazeer and condoled him for his son’s assassination. Mr. Vazeer told that his son was innocent and he could not get justice. He said that he would fight for justice and against the atrocities of the police. Mr. Azmi assured him every possible help. He handed over a sum of Rs. 1 lakh to him.
He then went to Moinbagh, Riyasat Nagar to meet Mr. Syed Ashraf Ali, father of late Syed Amjad who was killed in the encounter. Mr. Azmi told that he has no come to console the relatives of the victims but he has come out to fight against injustices meted out to the victims. The relatives of Amjad refused any financial help and told that they would fight for justice. Mr. Imtiyaz, the brother of slain Syed Amjad told that the faces of the victims had become red. It only shows that they were beaten up before they were killed. Mr. Azmi and his colleagues who had come from Mumbai shed tears on hearing the stories of police atrocities. Mr. Azmi then went to old Malakpet to console late Viqar’s father Mr. Mohammed Ahmed. Mr. Ahmed told that he has been continuing legal battle. He mentioned that Viqar Ahmed himself had made a written complaint to the court that his life is in danger and he could be assassinated by the police in a fake encounter at any time but no action was taken. He also told that he has full faith in the Judiciary. Mr. Azmi told Mr. Ahmed that it is the not the question of his son alone but it is the question of entire Muslim community of India.
Mr. Abu Asim Azmi then went to Mushirabad to meet the wife of late Dr. Haneef. He gave them Rs. 2 lakh and advised Dr. Haneef’s wife to continue the education of her children. Dr. Haneef’s wife burst into tears. Mr. Azmi told her to have patience and have faith in Allah (SWT).
