Finance Minister irritated on Junior Doctors attitude

Hyderabad, February 05: State Govt. is spending Rs. 25 to 40 lakh on the education of every doctor. It is also providing latest facilities in the Govt. hospitals according to the budget provisions.

As per the agreement reached between the junior doctors and the Govt. stipend is being increased to the extent of 15% every two years.

While talking to newsmen in his Chamber, Mr. Ramnarayan Reddy, Minister of Finance told that on every student of MBBS Govt. is spending minimum Rs. 25 lakh and for the P.G. students of Super Specialties Rs. 40 lakh each student. Giving details of the stipends given to medical students, he said that it has been enhanced from Rs. 8,700 to 21,800 and for P.G. students from Rs. 9,000 to 23,000. Despite this hike, the attitude of the junior doctors to continue hunger strike is deplorable. Govt. will take action to provide health care to the poor persons.
