Hyderabad: 15th Finance Commission Chairman Nand Kishore Singh, along with his team, visited historic Charminar and Falanuma Palace on Tuesday.
The Chairman was accompanied with Finance Commission members Anoop singh, Ramesh Chand and Mukh Meeth Singh Bhatiya, Joint Secretary Mousami chakravarthy, Media Advisor Gopal Prasad, Bharath Bhushan Garg, Director Anand Singh Parmar and other officials.
A photo exhibition was organised for the visiting team wherein GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore explained about the Charminar Pedestrianisation Project and beautification of Musi River. He informed that the CPP Project has been taken up at a cost of Rs. 35 cores. The delegates later had famous Irani Chai at Charminar.
Later, the delegates visited the Falaknuma Palace where the Director and officials of the Tourism explained about the importance of the Falaknuma Palace which was built on 32 acres by Vikar Ul Umra in the year 1897 and presented to 6th Nizam as a gift.
