The final phase of web-based counselling in Telangana State for admissions into engineering and pharmacy courses through Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test will be held on July 29 and 30.
According to officials the candidates, who could not attend the counselling in the first phase of the admission process, can attend the certificate verification on July 29 and can simultaneously exercise their option of the college.
“There are still over 32,000 seats remaining vacant after first phase. In all likelihood nearly 4,000 candidates may not report to the colleges. There is no cap on exercising options,” said B Srinivas, Eamcet, Camp Officer.
In the first phase of counselling, a total of 9,321 candidates failed to get seats in the courses opted by them. In the wake of it, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education urged the candidates to exercise as many options so as to secure a seat.
The authorities said those, who already attended the first phase of counselling and allotted seats, may attend the second phase of counselling too.
But they should report to the colleges they would be allotted in the second phase of counselling. The seats allotted in the first phase of counselling to such candidates would be given to students next in line. The final phase of seat allotment will be made on July 31 and candidates should report to the colleges on August 1.
