TV channels for the past few days were showing reports of release of many big budget films of Hindi, Telugu and Tamil in the coming days. But now in the debate showed on the same channels, directors, producers and even film actors say that they don’t want to go bankrupt by releasing their films during Ramadan. So they will release their films in the end of Ramadan on the occasion of Eid. During the debate of film industry experts, some directors and producers even said that they cannot run the risk of releasing their films during Ramadan because Muslims are busy in prayers and other devotions during Ramadan, while for the non Muslim film lovers it is the month to earn maximum profit.
The statements of film industry top brass illustrate that a lot of Muslims watch movies at theatres and that they contribute in increasing the bank balance of film directors, producers and actors and actresses.
Film producers have to say that if Muslims do not watch films the film industry has to bear a heavy loss.
