Fight for T share and rights in Parliament KCR tells MPs

Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao today expressed serious discontent on Center for its decision to give special powers to Governor ESL Narasimhan to have his say on giving some key postings in Telangana and Hyderabad being joint capital. KCR directed the MPs in a meeting, held here on Sunday, to get ready and fight against the Center in this regard and vie for adequate budget allocations, due share of new rail lines and completion of pending railway projects to Telangana State and withdrawal of Polavaram Ordinance. His directions come at a time when the Center is coming up with Railway budget and General Budget respectively. The MPS should take on the Center for its unilateral decision to give special powers to the Governor, he advised. The meeting assumes importance as the TRS Government is said to have received a draft letter which gives special powers to the Governor. KCR is understood to have objected to its content mentioning that the governor will get special powers, according to information. He also directed them to oppose in the parliament on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s comments on Polavaram Ordinance. Being the 29th state of India, we have every right to demand and seek the Center give us due share in each domain and sphere, KCR told them. (NSS)
