The ‘Women in Transport’ initiative taken by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is receiving an overwhelming response in Hyderabad. FICCI presented the first batch of their training programme on Tuesday. Women belonging to rural area learnt driving and got jobs in Maruti showroom.
FICCI chairperson Rekha Lahoti told that their aim was to link 400 women with transport service so that they stand on their own feet and support their families by earning extra income of the house. Any woman passed SSC and in the age group of 18 to 35 years with family income of not over Rs 3 lakh with Aadhaar Card, Address and ID proof may contact FICCI office on 040 23395277/ 07032298148.
