Hyderabad, August 05: A felicitation function was organized at Jamiatul-Banaat, Sayeedabad to honour the students of Arabic Department on the award of Ph.D. degrees.
Maulana Adbul Aleem Islahi, Director of the institution welcomed the guests president of the function, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Majeed, former professor and Head of the Dept of Arabic, Osmania University said that in the first revelation of the Quran itself the importance of education was highlighted.
Education was considered a cure for all the evils. Prof Mohsin Osmani of English and Foreign Languages University said that the Prophet (SAWS) said that he was sent to this world as a teacher and it is the duty of a teacher to reform the character of the students.
Some valuable books were given to the students who obtained Ph.D. degrees from O.U. Ms. Zill-e-Huma, Ms. Summaiyya Anjum, Ms. Humera Afroze, and Ms. Farhana complete their Ph.D’s under the supervisions of Dr. Mohammed Abdul Majeed, Dr. Badiuddin & Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Shareef or the Dept of Arabic respectively.
