Govt. of AP has agreed to enhance the fees of the Corporate Hospitals which are providing Healthcare under Arogyashree scheme. The representatives of the Managements of these hospitals met the CM of AP and apprised him of there difficulties and demanded for the enhancement of the fees. Although the CM has agreed to enhance the fees but no decision has been taken about the quantum of fees to be raised the Managements of AP Super Specialties Hospitals Association and AP Private Nursing Homes had declared that they will not provide Healthcare to the patients if the fees are not raised under Argoyashree scheme.
The CM of AP invited the representatives association and negotiated with them directly. The CM said that 30% enhancement is not possible. He assured them the rates of fees would be reviewed taking into consideration its technicalities. CM also instructed them to continue Healthcare Services without any interruption.
He also said that any kind of irregularities will not be tolerated and a nursing homes indulging in such activities will have to face the consequences. The representatives of the association told him that incase criminal cases are filed against the doctors, they will not provide their services. The CM agreed to constitute a Discipline Committee for taking action against the erring doctors. The representatives of the association also assured the CM of their cooperation to provide Healthcare to employees of Udyogashree scheme.
It is said that orders are likely to be issue by the Govt. for providing Healthcare facilities to the Govt. employees also.
Talking to Media persons later Mr. Bhaskar Rao representatives of APSA and Mr. Govind Hari representatives of APNA told that CM has agreed enhance the rates of fees payable to the Hospitals under Arogyasharee schemes. He expected that Govt. would consider to enhance the fees upto 22-25%. They also desired the CM to consider afresh about filing criminal cases against the doctors.
