It was conducted by the University of Adelaide’s Population Research and Outcome Studies unit in the School of Medicine and the Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health.
The study involves demographic data depending on lifestyle factors came up with the result that those who have highest fat intake were more likely to experience sleepiness during the day. Sometimes poor sleep may also result into day time drowsiness, resulting into less energy.
Researchers say that daytime sleepiness may have serious implications on your concentration level and alertness, highlighting the importance of good, healthy food.
This vicious cycle works in a way that it might be difficult for you to even realise it. Once you feel sleepy, you have less energy during worktime, you get cravings for high-fat, high-carbohydrate foods, which again is related with poor sleep outcomes. The study appeared in the journal Nutrients.
