The new rules and regulations imposed for providing fee reimbursement scheme and scholarship by the state government are depriving students from benefiting from the scheme. The silence adopted by Minority Welfare department especially Minority Welfare minister and Andhra Pradesh State Minority Finance Corporation indicates that the institutions are in no mood to provide opportunity to the students to benefit from the scheme.
Despite submission of complete documents by the minority students, the colleges are returning them the income and caste certificate asking them to submit the certificates issued by Me-Seva. Thousands of students are making rounds of MRO offices. A large number of students were seen at the office of Bahadurpura mandal Revenue officer till late night. Most of the parents were worrying that if they don’t get certificate within one day students will be forced to drop out of colleges.
