Fee reimburesement row: Police arrests TDP chief

Telugu Desam Party Chief and former chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the police when he squatted on the road near KBR park demanding that the government bear the entire tuition fee of BC students. Chandrababu Naidu along with BC students while proceeding in a march towards secretariat, where Cabinet Sub-Committee was discussing on free reimbursement row, was prevented by the police and later he squatted on the road near KBR park and blocked the traffic. Following traffic blocking, police immediately arrested Mr Naidu and later he was shifted to Banjara hills police station. Mild tension also gripped the park for some time when party workers resisted their leader’s arrest. Earlier, addressing the students, Naidu asserted that his party would continue its fight until justice was made to the BC students. Demanding that the government bear the entire tuition fee of the BC students, he claimed that in TDP’s tenure, students got better educational and employment opportunities in the state. Stating that the state’s revenue had increased compared to TDP’s rule, he said meeting the tuition fees of BC students was not a difficult task. UNI
