Brisbane : Top-seeded Roger Federer displayed a dominant performance as he swept aside Dominic Thiem in straight sets to storm into the finals of Brisbane International at Pat Rafter Arena on Saturday.
The 17-time Grand Slam champion claimed a 6-1, 6-4 triumph over the Austrian in a semi-final clash that lasted for an hour.
Reflecting on his performance, Federer said that it was his best match of the tournament so far, the Guardian reported.
With the win, the Swiss maestro has now set up a final clash with Milos Raonic of Montenegrin, who has also made it to the finals by defeating Bernard Tomic 7-6, 7-6. (ANI)
