Kathmandu : The leaders of Federal Alliance, an alliance of Madhesi and Janjati parties, are discussing whether to accept or reject Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli’s offer for talks.
The leaders on Thursday gathered at Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum’s office in Tinkune and reports suggest that the discussion focused on Oli’s offer, reports Kathmandu Post.
In a bid to resolve the Tarai crisis, Oli had invited the agitating parties for talks.
The Samajbadi Forum and some Janjati leaders are adamant that Oli’s letter should be addressed to the alliance rather than to the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM).
However, the Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party, Forum Ganatantrik, Nepal Sadhbhawana Party and other Madhes-based parties say that since the protests till date were organised on Morcha’s name, Oli’s offer for talks should be taken on a positive note.(ANI)
