IT Minister KT Rama Rao today said that the government will soon bring in a best sports policy to promote sports and games in the state in a big way.
Launching a poster related to Hyderabad Federation Cup Tennis Tournament of international level here, he said that the event will begin in Hyderabad from April 14. The Government will give top priority to the sports in the state and extend all support to the budding sports persons, he claimed. Ace tennis player Sania Mirza will head the Indian team in the tournament to be represented by 12 other nations, KTR said. The women players from 12 nations will turn up to the event to be conducted on international level, he said. The government will construct stadiums in every district besides taking steps for strengthening the facilities and infrastructure for the sports he added. (NSS)
