Fear of MIM, Congress not Celebrating T Formation Day

State BJP president G. Kishan Reddy today alleged that the Congress party was not celebrating “Telangana Liberation Day” as it was afraid of the MIM.
On the occasion of Telangana Liberation day, the BJP leader hoisted national flag at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue in front of the State Assembly building complex here. Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said though his party has been demanding that the government celebrate the day officially, the Congress government failed to celebrate it because it was afraid of the MIM.

The BJP State chief said after formation of Telangana State, national tricolors would be hoisted in every village in the Telangana districts on this day.

Talking to reporters, BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy said September 17 is Independence Day for Telangana. Without celebrating the day officially, it was unfortunate that the Congress party hoisted the national flag, he said, adding that “we cannot tolerate if Seemandhra people oppose Telangana State”.

Meanwhile, in Nalgonda, BJP workers were taken into preventive custody when they tried to hoist national flag at district police superintendent’s office. There was virtually a clash between BJP activists and policemen when they party workers tried to enter and hoist the flag. (NSS)
