England, March 02: A Father stabbed his teenage daughter to death to end her rape anguish, a court was told.
Gary Fisher, 48, had been planning the murder for months, the court was told.
He allegedly drove Chanelle Sasha Jones, 17, to a secluded pub car park on August 2 last year and then stabbed her with a butcher’s knife.
Mr Fisher drove around with her body in the car for more than seven hours before being stopped by police, the court was told.
Police found the body in the passenger footwell.
Mr Fisher, who was separated from his wife, Jane Jones, was taken to hospital suffering from injuries.
Christopher Clee, prosecuting, said that while in hospital Mr Fisher told a nurse that he had stabbed his daughter “because she was in so much pain”.
In a later interview with a psychiatric specialist and social worker, Mr Fisher allegedly said that his daughter had told him that she wanted to die.
“I felt that she was suffering and I wanted to help her die,” he allegedly said.
Overdose
Mr Clee told the court: “He told the police that she had been raped and that she could not live with the thought of that.”
Mr Clee said that the teenager, who lived in Cardigan, West Wales, had never made any such report to police.
He did acknowledge that she was admitted to the hospital after taking drug overdoses in December 2006 and February 2009 but neither incident had been seen as a real attempt to kill herself.
The court was told that Mr Fisher had called his daughter a “slag” because she did not want to go out with him.
Mr Fisher, of Solihull, England, denies murder.
