Hyderabad: Although there are various entrances of Golconda Fort but some entrances are of historical importance. One such entrance is Fateh Darwaza which was named after the conquest of Moghal ruler, Aurangzeb.
Of late, this door was closed due to dumping of garbage. “Hyderabad Heritage Trust” has now taken the responsibility of cleaning it so that people can enter through it.
It may be noted that this door has been mentioned in the books of history. It is the same door through which Moghal Emperor, Aurangzeb entered when he conquered Golconda Fort after eight months struggle. Mr. Mohammed Shujaat Ali of the Trust told that with the cleaning of Fateh Darwaza, its grandeur will be glorified.
