Dehra Dun, March 25: The police tonight forcefully took fasting Congress MLA Kishor Upadhayay, who is demanding a host of developmental projects in Uttarakhand, to hospital here after he developed weakness and high blood pressure.
“I was forcefully evicted from the dharna site and taken to Doon hospital”, Upadhayay, whose fast entered fourth day today, told PTI even as scores of Congress workers held protest demonstrations to rally support for him in Tehri district.
Upadhayay, MLA from Tehri, was holding indefinite fast near the state assembly where he got support from various Congress leaders and MLAs.
Upadhaya said he would continue his fast till all his 25 demands are met and refused to take any medicine or glucose drip.
SSP Dehra Dun G S Martolia said the Tehri MLA was taken to Doon hospital on health grounds.
