New Delhi, April 27: Minister of Law and Justice on Tuesday informed the Rajya Sabha that Fast track courts have been a success since it’s beginning
M.Veerappa Moily, on Tuesday said out of 35.85 lakh cases transferred to Fast Track Courts since inception, 29.08 lakh cases have been disposed off leaving 6.77 lakh cases pending for disposal.
He said in a written reply at Rajya Sabha that the information was received from the State Governments/Registries of the High Courts.
The Minister further informed that there is a proposal for the continued central funding for Fast Track Courts for one more year beyond 31.3.2010 i.e. up to 31.2.2011.
