Fast can wait: KCR tastes Telangana cuisine

Hyderaad, October 12: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) honcho K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday took a break from his rigid schedule and indulged in a gastronomic indulgence, tasting Telangana cuisine at a food festival held at Bar B Q in Secunderbad.

The spread at the restaurant included ‘attu tunakala’ fry, ‘chenangaku tokku’, ‘jonna ambali’, ‘pachi pulusu’, ‘golichina mamsam’, ‘natu kodi’ and rice.

The TRS chief was happy that the restaurant kept available Telangana cuisine in its pristine form, the taste of which, he said, many people in the region had forgotten. He wanted Telangana people not to forget their food.

The management, GP Group, made available nearly 250 vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes prepared by expert chefs to attract food lovers of the state capital. The management prepared the menu in accordance with food habits of Telanganites. The Telangana food festival will continue till October 17 at the restaurant.

BJP senior leader and former MP B Dattatreya, who kept company to Chandrasekhar Rao, also yielded to the Telangana food temptation. Chandrasekhara Rao’s colleague and film actress Vijayasanthi and leader Nayani Narasimha Reddy also were around relishing the dishes.

GP Group MD G Praveen Rao said that special efforts were made to procure authentic ingredients from across Telangana to achieve true Telangana tastes.
