Indian Captain M S Dhoni today urged the Indian fast bowlers to chip in a bit more. In his post match comments to the media after a 2-0 whitewash implored on the New Zealand here he said, ‘Fast bowlers have to chip in a bit although they bowled quite well. There was not much for fast bowlers as well. We need to improve a bit but overall it’s quite good.’ Replying to a question about reshuffling the team ahead of the test series against Australia he said there was no need for any reshuffle of the team at the moment. ‘It’s quite some time that we play a Test series. We will be playing T20 World Cup and the Champions League.’ He said, ‘I think Gautam (Gambhir) is batting really well in the nets and it’s just a matter of time that he does the same in matches too. Today also he was batting really well. He started off really well. So we’re hoping he would come good in the coming games.” About the two test series he said ‘ it was a well-fought series. One definite area where we would like ourselves is playing on turning tracks. That’s something we didn’t get in the series. But still the spinners bowled really well in Hyderabad and Bangalore. It’s pleasing to see them fighting with the batsmen on tracks which really didn’t help them much, especially in the first innings. Overall it was a good performance by them.” UNI
