Congress MLC Mr. Mohammed Farooq Husain told that minorities were in high spirits after it had been decided to field former union minister Mr. Sarve Satyanarayana for Warangal parliamentary constituency. He declared the incident occurred at the residence of former MP Siricilla Rajaiah as deplorable and said it had no association with Congress.
It must be recalled that Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law and 3 grandsons died as gas cylinder exploded. Congress changed its candidate at the last moment and fielded Sarve Satyanarayana in place of Siricilla Rajaiah. Mr. Farooq Husain claimed that Satyanarayana was far better than BJP and TRS candidates in terms of qualification and experience.
He asserted that minorities also welcomed the change and hoped that people would teach a lesson to the BJP which was promoting intolerance and TRS which deviated from its promises.
