Welcoming the release of 1.32 crore rupees by the government as compensation to the Sangareddy riot victims, Congress MLC Mr. Farooq Husain termed chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy as minority friendly and demanded that the government take stringent action against those who disrupted the peaceful atmosphere.
He asserted that state Jamiat-ul-Ulama president and MLC Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed and himself visited the riot hit Sangareddy area along with Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Ahmedullah and met the victims. He told that after reviewing the losses they had also made written representation with the chief minister to pay compensation to the victims.
Positively responding to the representation chief minister yesterday issued GO MS 1931 and decided to release 1.32 crore rupees for 120 riot victims.
