Nalgonda: Apart from their regular problems like drought and others, farmers were facing music from monkeys in Kothagudem village of Arvapally mandal in the district.
Fastidious monkeys were destroying standing crops making the farmers sleepless in nights. The condition of fruit gardens, vegetable farms was very bad. Farmers, who are bemoaning due to depletion of water table are getting irritated with prowling monkeys. As summer set in and mango trees are bearing fruits, monkeys were denuding mango trees of fruits. The disgusted farmers have planted nets in the orchards in order to protect their produce from the mischievous animals. (NSS)
