Farmers in distress in TDP rule: Jagan

Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday slammed the TDP government saying that it had completely neglected the farmers’ issues in its nearly three year government.

Speaking a rally as part of his Rythu Bharosa Yatra at Lingapuram in Kurnool district, Jagan demanded the government to waive off farm loan unconditionally and at the earliest. He said that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu ditched DWCRA women and farmers by not writing off their debts.

The YSRCP chief reminded that the TDP chief gave a slogan of ‘Job ravale ante Babu ravale’ (if you need job, elect Babu) and said that the TDP government failed to provide employment. He also said that Naidu’s promise of Rs 2000 as allowances for unemployed youth also remains unfulfilled.

Earlier in the day, YSRCP chief garlanded late CM Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s statue at Lingapuram. He urged the people to vote YSRCP to power to bring back the golden era of YSR Reddy. (INN)
