Muzzafarnagar(UP), November 09: Apparently upset over inadequate hike in sugarcane prices, a farmer today snuffed out his life by jumping before a running train here today.
Fifty-year-old Vijaypal Tyagi jumped before the train near Mansurpur station on the Delhi-Ambala railway route, eye-witnesses and police said.
The exact reason behind his alleged suicide was yet to be ascertained, police said.
However, BKU activists claimed he was upset over the inadequate hike in prices of sugarcane prices and this led him to take the extreme step.
