Farmer nabbed for duping people

Hyderabad, November 06: A farmer from Mahabubnagar, who duped several persons by posing as a close relative of home minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, was nabbed by the Task Force sleuths. The accused, 45-year Gopinath Rathod alias Gopi, a farmer from Thimmareddypalli village, was caught along with his two associates, who posed as the personal assistants to the minister.

They duped eight persons to the tune of `7 lakh promising them jobs as junior assistant, police said. “Gopi used to claim that the home minister is his sister-in-law,” police said. They duped 25-year-old T Siva Kumar of Ramnagar. Police registered a case based on his complaint and arrested Gopi who was handed over to the Musheerabad police . The others are absconding.
