A farmer died when a wild pig attacked him on Sunday. Jadi Rajaiah (45), who was working in his cotton fields in Sthambhanpally village in Mahamutharam Mandal in the district, was attacked by the wild pig injuring him seriously. The nearby farmers gathered and chased away the wild pig and shifted Rajaiah to the hospital. Rajaiah died on the way to hospital.
In another incident in Kanukunuru village in same Mandal, a woman died when a snake bit her. (NSS)
