Mathura: A farmer was allegedly abducted by five persons from his Ratan Das locality in the Raya area here, the police said today.
“Five persons have been named in the FIR lodged after the farmer’s wife Rajni Devi filed an abduction complaint regarding her husband,” SP (Rural) Aditya Kumar Shukla said.
He said two police teams have been formed to trace the whereabouts of the farmer, Ram Kumar.
Devi told the police that five persons abducted her husband when he was asleep last night.
The abductors pushed me after I tried to rescue my husband from their clutches when I heard his cries, she wrote in her complaint to the police.
