Mumbai, February 22: Farah Khan gifted good friend and Housefull producer Sajid Nadiadwala a 25-lakh gift on his birthday last week — by wrapping up his shoot a day earlier!
Farah laughs when quizzed, “When Sajid asked me what I was gifting him on his birthday I told him I had gifted him a Rs 25 lakh gift already! I wrapped up shooting the song Apni Toh Jaise Taise on Akshay, Deepika, Arjun, Lara, Riteish and Jacqueline a day early.
It’s an expensive shoot requiring over 50 foreign dancers for the song and an expensive set (over 50 lakh) of an underground pub.” B’day boy Nadidawala adds, “I couldn’t have got a better birthday gift!
Apart from the dancers and set the hiring of the studio and other expenses easily come up to Rs 25 lakh per day shooting cost. We were to shoot from Monday to Friday but Farah is so quick and flexible that we finished the shoot on Thursday.”
Apni Toh Jaise Taise in Housefull is the remix version of the original that had been shot on Amitabh Bachchan in Lawaaris. Housefull releases on April 30 this year.
