Lucknow: A man, his wife and their 28-year-old son consumed poison and ended their lives in an Uttar Pradesh village on Tuesday, police said.
The incident took place in Etawah’s Sahajpur village.
The bodies were found in their agricultural land by neighbours who informed the police. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vaibhav Krishna and other officials rushed to the scene.
The deceased have been identified as Chote Lal Pal (75), Ramvati (70) and Raju Pal (28).
“We are looking at the incident with both angles of suicide and murder. We have sent the bodies for post-mortem and are awaiting the report,” a police officer told IANS.
