A family committed mass suicide at Kushaiguda in the city outskirts. However a son survived during treatment while the parents and the younger son died. The family was said to be debt ridden and consumed cyanide in the breakfast. Elderly parents gave cyanide to their two young sons while they didn’t give poison to their daughters-in-law.
According to police 55-year-old Ishwar Chari, 50-year-old Parvati and their two sons 26-year old Prasad and 24-year-old Nagabu consumed cyanide. Meanwhile elder son Prasad was saved during treatment while the other three died. The family was goldsmith by occupation. Police is investigating the case.
