Falaknuma palace turned Taj Hotel

Hyderabad, November 05: Taj Falaknuma Palace, a makeover of seventh Nizam’s palace, would throw open gates for its guests on November 13.

The great grandson of seventh Nizam of Hyderabad Mehboob Ali Khan, Mukarram Jah Bahadur and chairman of Tata Group, Ratan Tata would be among guests to attend the inaugural of Falaknuma, mirror image of sky.

The luxurious suits of the hotel range between Rs 30,000 and Rs 5 lakh, General Manager, Taj Falaknuma palace, Ranjit Phillipose told reporters here today.

“We worked on preserving the priceless art and artifacts of the palace for ten years. We are very proud today to welcome our guests to the Taj Falaknuma palace- restored, renewed and reinstated to its former glory,” he said.

Guests can live here in enchanted moments of luxury while experiencing and reliving chapters from the lives of the Nizams, he said.

Extensive restoration was carried out under the guidance of Princess Esra Jah, to bring the palace back to its original magnificence.

The ornate inlaid furniture, the finest collection of Jade, the rich handcrafted tapestries and brocades from France, and intricate frescos with English as well as Indian influences, together give the Palace its distinct Baroque style.
