Fakhr-e-Millath Food Scheme of GHMC

While presenting the annual budget of GHMC MIM Mayor, Mr. Mohammed Majid Husain proposed Fakhr-e-Millath Food Scheme which provides meals for Rs. 5. The cost of preparation of food of one person will be Rs. 20. This food will be provided at 50 centers of the State. The Scheme will cover 15 thousand poor persons. GHMC provided Rs. 15 crore to meet these expenses.

Addressing a press conferencing Mayor of GHMC Mr. Mohammed Majid Husain and Commissioner Mr. Somesh Kumar told that the modus operandi are being worked out. The date of implementation of this scheme will be notified later.

It may be noted that GHMC is establishing reverse osmosis plants to provide clean drinking water at 400 centers. This scheme is named after late Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi. The Towli Chowki flyover will also be named after him. These proposals have to be approved by the General Body of GHMC in its meeting scheduled to be held on 24th February. A sum of Rs. 436 crore has been allocated for repair of roads. Rs. 5 crore are provided for Amusement Park at Kishan Bagh and said Rs. 30 crore for Heritage Tourism Corridor. In the same manner for beautifying Meeralum Tank Rs. 25 crore have been proposed.
