Fake policemen robs old woman of her gold

A 60-year old woman was robbed off her gold items, by men who posed as police officials, when she went for a walk on Monday early hours.

The incident took place at a local park in Vijaynagar Colony under Humayun Nagar police station limits, when S Mahalaximi (60) Resident of Vijayanagar Colony was walking alone wearing gold bangles (kada). The group of men, who watched from a distance, found her without a companion and identified themselves as police officers. They convinced her that buglers were roaming in the area and if they found her wearing the gold bangles, may harm her. Saying this they asked her to remove 8 tulas of gold bangles and to conceal them in a hand kerchief they offered. The men escorted Mahalaxmi to her house handed over the kerchief. But later when the woman Unwrapped her kerchief, she was surprised to find stones, instead of bangles. By the time she turned back to ask them, they had already disappeared.
