Fake passport racket busted, two held

The police today busted a fake passport racket and arrested two persons from Uttar Pradesh in Bihar’s Bhojpur district, police sources said.

Acting on a complaint, the police raided the premises of a tour and travey agency under Nawada police station area and seized six fake passports, two laptops, a printer, a desktop computer, a scanner and an SBI cheque book, the sources said.

Two persons, Munna and Md Abrar from Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh, were arrested for running the fake passport racket, they said.

Another person, Md Ibrahim managed to escape.

The sources said the racketeers charged Rs 20,000 for each fake passport.
