Hyderabad, August 12: Sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, unearthed a fake currency racket however the gang’s lady mentor and another person are absconding. Police arrested 5 members of the gang preparing fake currency of 100 and 500 rupees and seized 514000 rupees cash and material from their possession.
Commissioner police Abdul Khayyum Khan produced the accused before the media and said that Hasan (23), residing near Boys’ town school, Osman (32) R/O Indiranagar, Munaf (33) R/O Hafiz Babanagar, Ghouse (45) R/O Rainbazar, Syed Sarfaraz (21) R/O Falaknuma have been arrested while Aqeel and the gang mentor Shakira are said to be absconding. Colour monitor, CPU, DVD writer, LaserJet and other items have been seized from their possession.
Shakira resident of Moghalpura who is mentor for installing this unit in Kalapathar, started producing fake currency after forming a gang. They used to sell it to their close buyers. Shakira had been charged of fraud in the past too. Commissioner police has appealed public to be alert regarding fake currency.
