Fake currency racket busted in Kadapa

Kadapa police have arrested seven persons and claimed to have busted a fake currency racket. Kadapa Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar Sinha said that sub-inspector Manjunatha reddy and Mydukur DySP Praveen Kumar led the operation last night near here. Fake notes with face value of Rs 12 lakh were seized. Durga Chandra Bose, hailing from Palur village of Peddamudiam mandal in the district, was the leader of the gang, the SP said. Other accused included Shaik Farook, Kousik Nagaraju, Subba Rayudu, Muniswamy, Rama Tulasi and a woman called Avula Mariyamma. They allegedly procured fake currency from Afjar Jainal and Vasim Jainal of Malda district of West Bengal. PTI
