Fake currency found from bush

Agartala, September 08: Fake currency with the face value of Rs five lakh was seized from Shovapur village in West Tripura district, bordering Bangladesh, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Tripura police raided the village yesterday and found the counterfeit notes in the denomination of Rs 500 from a bush, the sources said.

Two persons were arrested in this connection.
