City police have claimed to arrest a fake educational certificate racket with the arrest of two persons, under Langer House police station limits.
Police seized 275 blank letter heads, 350 fake educational certificates, 12 fake rubber stamps, a laptop, printer, four cell phones and 75 fake certificates of different universities were seized from them.
Acting on a tip-off, police under the supervision of DCP (TF) B Limba arrested two accused Mirza Akram Baig, 31, a resident of Gulbarga and Rizwa, 28 of Hasnath Colony, Tolichowki, while the duo was delivering the certificates of IIMES in Tolichowki.
Mirza Akram Baig set up the website of IIMES and was operating it from Gulbarga, Rizwan, was handling Hyderabad operations. “They used to collect data of students who failed degree courses, and promised Degree, Diploma in engineering certificates from this institution.
