Hyderabad: Faiz-e-Aam Trust doled out ration packets among 100 families during the month of Ramadan. It must be noted that the Trust enjoys support of Siasat Daily and Siasat editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan. The ration packets were handed over to the poor families at a programme held at Siasat premises. Present on the occasion were Siasat editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Secretary Faiz-e-Aam trust Mr. Iftekhar Husain, Mr. Rizwan Hyder (Trustee), Dr. Makhdoom Mohiuddin (Trustee) and Trust members Dr. Samiullah Khan, Mr. Anwar Khan and Mr. Syed Hyder Ali. The kit comprised of rice, flour, siwayyan (vermicelli), dates, dry fruits and other necessary items.
According to Faiz-e-Aam Trust Secretary and Trustee Mr. Iftekhar Husain, since 1982, Faiz-e-Aam Trust has so far imparted school education to over 800 students belonging to 600 poor families. 839 students acquired college education with the financial assistance of Faiz-e-Aam Trust. 315 men and women got medical aid. 269 relief works were done. Presently 629 students are studying in primary schools and 200 students are studying in technical colleges under the sponsorship of Faiz-e-Aam. The Trust provided nursing training to 2609 students so that they can stand on their own feet and help their families.
According to Mr. Iftekhar Husain, he started ‘Kapda Bank’ in association with ‘Millat Fund’ of Siasat Daily, which has so far distributed over 12500 dresses among poor.
With the help of Siasat Daily, the Faiz-e-Aam Trust began a business project in 2013-14 for Rohingya Muslim refugees living in Balapur, with the cost of Rs. 6,40,000. It spent Rs. 17,70,000 for various relief projects for the victims of Muzaffar Nagar riots. It also spent Rs. 1,63,300 to help flood victims of Bihar in 2016. Similarly it undertook relief operation with the cost of Rs 2,68,900 to help the victims of devastating flood which had hit Kashmir in 2014.
