Hyderabad, May 7: In a bizarre incident police apprehended a rowdy sheeter’s wife and his children but later released the children and retained rowdy sheeter’s wife into police custody for a night. The rowdy sheeter’s wife Afsar Saba (28) was conditionally released a day after she was apprehended.
It has been told that police took Langar Houz rowdy sheeter Sarwar’s wife Afsar Saba into their custody and retained her in police custody for a night later she was released with a warning that if she failed to produce Sarwar within two days their family would face dire consequences.
Sarwar was missing from the police record for the last two months. When the police reached his house in search of him they could not find him there. So they took his wife and children into custody. Since Afsar Saba’s relatives pleaded for mercy the police released the children but retained the woman in the police station.
Her relatives have alleged police’s misbehaviour at the time of raid conducted by them.
Afsar Saba was kept along with male persons in the police station. Only one female police worker was there while all others were male including police workers and rowdy sheeters.
A relative of Afsar Saba told that the later is suffering from mental tension since the incident happened. She is unwell and needs medication however police have restrained her from taking medication.
