Information Technology Minister K Taraka Ramarao today reiterated that Hyderabad has all opportunities to become an international city with best infrastructure and facilities.
KTR was speaking after laying foundation stone for III phase works of Krishna water shifting to Hyderabad and black topping of roads at a program here.
Speaking on the occasion, the IT Minister said the city would become a world class destination with the best amenities such as water, power, roads, sewerage and others at the doorstep of IT companies, ITES, SEZs and others of IT industry in the State. While 1,000 mm dedicated water pipeline in Madhapur will be laid at a cost of Rs 25 crore connecting Rayadurgam and Madhapur for improved water facility, re-carpeting of roads will be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 16 crore, the minister maintained. The Hitech City and Madhapur areas will soon get a facelift, he said, adding the State Government was committed to provide basic amenities in the city on international standards. Madhapur area is accommodating some 400 world famous IT companies and providing employment to lakhs of people, who should get the best of the facilities.
Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (TSIIC) has been nominated as the Nodal Agency of the Telangana Government-ITE&C Department for development of IT Parks /IT SEZs/IT Layouts, for coordinating with necessary government agencies and to provide basic infrastructure like power, water, sewerage, access roads to the doorsteps of the proposed IT Parks /IT SEZs / IT Campuses.
The Telangana Government-ITE&C Department & TSIIC have developed IT Parks in Madhapur area in an extent of 793 acres. Some 40 noted international IT companies have established their projects in Madhapur area by creating employment to over four lakh software personnel. TSIIC Limited has provided all the required infrastructure facilities in IT Parks. Now, to improve the infrastructure facilities further in IT Parks, Madhapur, the State government and TSIIC Limited have taken up the works of re-carpeting of roads in Madhapur with ITE&C department’s funds with an estimated coast of Rs 16 crores for improvement of roads for a length of 7.70 km in IALA-Madhapur. For improvement of water supply in IT sector, Madhapur at an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore, the HMWS&SB has taken up the work of laying 1000 mm diameter MS dedicated pipe line from Rayadurgam junction tapping KDWSP Phase-III to Madhapur new 5 ml GLSR for improvement of water supply to Madhapur TSIIC-IT sectors, proposed games city in Hyderabad Knowledge City, Rayadurgam and so on.
Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Somesh Kumar, Secretary to Government, ITE & Communications, C.V.
