‘Facebook’ most searched-for term on Google in UK this year

In its year-end list, Google has revealed that ‘Facebook’ had been the most searched-for terms of 2013 in the UK.

Facebook topped its video service YouTube for the top spot, while Google made it to the third place.

According to the BBC, while shopping site eBay featured 5th on the list, once-popular Yahoo came at the bottom of the top ten list for the UK.

Facebook also topped Google’s ‘what is’ list with a large chunk of UK-based users keen to know what the social networking site was.

Google’s top 10 UK search terms includes:

7. Amazon

8. Daily Mail

9. Argos

10. Yahoo
