After a bomb threat in a building on Facebook’s campus in Menlo Park, the building was evacuated, the police said that the Facebook management, as a precaution, requested buildings in the surrounding area be evacuated.
Menlo Park Police communications centre received a call at 4:32 PM from the New York Police Department Crime Stoppers Unit that they received an anonymous tip of a bomb threat at a Facebook facility located at 200 Jefferson Dr. in Menlo Park.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad was dispatched with explosive detection dogs to the scene and after a sweep of the area found no suspicious package or devices.
The building was all clear and secure following which the police then cleared the scene after giving the area an all clear.
