Srinagar, August 01: Pakistan is increasing its presence along the international border with India at a frenetic pace.
Few weeks after the BSF Special DG expressed concern over Pakistani constructions along the Line of Control (LoC), CNN-IBN has managed to get exclusive footage of six Pakistani structures near R S Pura sector on the Indo-Pak border.
According to BSF officials, Pakistan increased its construction activity along the border with India since the Mumbai terrorist strikes attacks last year.
Earlier, BSF special DG UK Bansal told CNN-IBN that Pakistan was constructing concrete bunkers and observation towers along the border.
Bansal also said that India was taking counter measures to neutralise any mischief and that in some isolated cases, Pakistani rangers did accept the Indian objections and stopped construction.
Pakistan’s permanent hideouts along LoC?
In 2007, the BSF had complained that Pakistan had constructed over 200 new bunkers and 78 towers near the international border in Jammu and Kashmir alone.
Last week, suspected terrorists from Lashkar-e-Toiba in Kashmir claimed that across the border, tunnels were being built to aid infiltration.
