Eye hospital inaugurated in Malakpet

Indo US Eye Hospital was inaugurated in Judges colony at Nalgonda cross roads in Malakpet yesterday in a grand function held here. Mr M.A. Khan, Rajya Sabha M.P and others attended the function.

The hospital is established by Pushpagiri, Ratna Institute and Sahitya Trust. It is equipped with latest technological quipment. Speaking on this occasion, President of the Trust, Dr. Vishwanath told that Pushpagiri Institute was established on 2nd January 2007 so that the expenditure on eye operations could be reduced. It may not be wrong if we say that the capital of diabetes is India and Hyderabad is the capital in A.P. as far as diabetes cases are concerned. It is an ailment in which a person loses eyesight gradually. If one loses eye sight at a stage of life when he has to shoulder many responsibilities, life becomes very difficult. He said that diabetes is not common in rich people only, it is also found in middle class and poor sections. Dr. Vishwanath told that it could be controlled if diagnosed in its early stage.
